Happy Friday! We hope you enjoy the singalong as much as we did! It was so nice to see everyone. And bonus!! We got to see Elyse today! What a great surprise. Rainey Room A and B got to tell Elyse about all the work they've been doing, explorations and what it is like to be back at school. We really enjoyed seeing her again.

After Zoom and snack, we continued our exploration of light and color. The rainbow returned and we discussed how to recreate or capture it. Spoiler alert, capturing the rainbow in a cup was not successful...

"Uh oh! It's going away" - Janie
"It's gone." - Lucia
"When it's a tweensy bit dark, the rainbow goes away" - Giacomo
"When it's dark at night, the rainbows go away" - Cedar
"It got darker you couldn't see it but when it got lighter, you could see it"
"How can we capture or reproduce it?" Jordan
"We can catch it in a cup" Lucia

Rainey Room B finished the day building and working on the "birthday cape" for C.C.'s upcoming birthday. See you next week

Can you believe it's already October! Today Rainey Room gave Johnny Appleseed a run for his money with their appleseed planting techniques. On Tuesday as we cut apples for the cake, we harvested the apple seeds at CC’s request. “We could plant them and make an apple tree grow!” she suggested.  Today we finally had a chance to each pot our own appleseed using potting soil and cups. We brainstormed what an appleseed needs to survive and where our plants might thrive best in the classroom.

We also had a wonderful time singing and dancing with everyone over zoom! Following the singalong, we visited with Rainey Room B and Ms. Elyse! We had a chance to share with her what we've been doing with obstacle courses, building and this weeks baking project, and we enjoyed listening to Rainey Room A describe their projects with rainbows and color!
Have a wonderful weekend, and tune in next week as we dive back into our obstacle course guidebook!
