Where's Jordan?

The children were given an opportunity to meet someone new today and establish another relationship, as we shared company with our sub, Maria. Keeping, Jordan, in mind:

What do we want to tell, Jordan, today? ​

Lucia: "We love you."

Giacomo: "...Jordan, we're listening to French music and we have a new teacher that is really... good! And she serves a lot of fooood, and she's a good teacher." 

​Maxon: "Um, let me think... Thank you, Jordan, for playing with me."

Jane: "We miss you."

Maria picked France for the region of our snack time music.
Thanks, Maria, and we are  so glad to  meet you!

Picking up from where we left off...

"Are you going to make an accordion, Jane?" -Maxon

"It's for under the picture."-Lucia

Lucia: It's a bridge! I  crumpled it. I put a pom, pom, then another, then I curled it.

"I'm going to make a unicorn for you, Jane." -Maxon

Maxon: "This looks like a unicorn."

Maxon:  "This is a unicorn for you, Jane." You can open it at home...you can take off the wrapper only...the magic will be in there."

We will continue the "magic" of this work tomorrow, and once again pick up where we left off.

"Are we going to look for the panda?" -Lucia

Before heading outside for an extended length of time (every Thursday), Lucia reminded us about the hidden panda. Later on outside, Giacomo approached Melanie excitedly with statement of finding the panda. Turns out he was showcasing his sense of humor and not evidence of a found panda.

"Look, Melanie, I found the panda!" -Giacomo

"Let's go fishing!" -Lucia

Lucia's idea to go fishing, involving a long PVC pipe as the fishing rod influenced an enthusiastic and collaborative effort to erect a structure and stabilize it. A true team effort!
