DIG IN, GEORGE!

George had his first day, yesterday! 

And... He came back today. We think he must like school.

We look forward to day three with him tomorrow, and his full first week!

Alum Visits

Tommy, a most recent alum from last year's Tucker Room and his classmate and Jack's older sister Abby, visited us. Tommy read Sam and Dave Dig a Hole to us and Abby played with us outside. 

It's like painting, but it's glazing...

We introduced glazing today, in part with preparing for C.C's birthday celebration tomorrow, and also just relative to our introductory progression of learning the language of clay. Those who glazed chose their colors, were reminded to use the brushes to apply the glaze, not paint, (it's similar but different), and we also introduced a wiping technique, which removes most of the glaze pigment from the surface of the clay but not from the grooves and cracks.
