Visiting the Underwater World Mural
To continue our research about our underwater background, today we took a walk across the street to the Hyde Elementary Underwater Mural. As soon as we got to the mural, Rainey A was abuzz with all the incredible creatures it features.
But it wasn’t just about the creatures we saw, we also chatted about the background of the image.
When we got back to the classroom we discussed what we saw and how that could contribute to the work we were doing. Elle said it best when she remarked “we can add all the things they had!”. Other friends chimed in with their favorite parts of the piece. For Violet it was the dolphin and Jack the turtle. We can’t wait to see what our final design includes!
