Freezing Friday!

It was backwards day so our morning was off to a chilly start. It took a while for the kids to engage with the outdoor space but when they did, there was a fun, weather-related exploration with a bucket of ice:
Initial observations:
Ada noted, "You can't break it." 
Maren added, "Cause ice is hard. Ice skating is slippery."

But Wolf didn't give up! He found a fence post and used the pointy end to try and break the ice. It inspired his peers to try other items: wood, brooms, bricks etc.
Spoiler alert...... eventually they do it!
Olivia dumps the last of the ice out!
During snack the children enjoyed looking at Cannon's photos from the holiday: the tiger, the lots of beach fun.  After snack the children were busy playing in the classroom:
And before dismissal we enjoyed a round of Sleeping Bunnies!
