A Birthday Celebration for Capers !Today we got to celebrate our friend Cape with delicious cheddar bunnies, cake bites and even special apple juice boxes! (Did you know the flaps on the sides of juice boxes can be used as handles to help us to lift it up without squeezing the juice out of the straw?) Before we start our birthday snack we always thank the birthday child for bringing snack for everyone and then we sing happy birthday together. "I'm so excited! Mom and dad come to school!" - Cape Cape's mom and dad joined us for his celebration outside on the front lawn and supported us in singing our special birthday song. When Cape was .... ... 0 years old he liked to ESCAPE (out of his swaddle by reaching one arm up) ... 1 year old ... TALK ... 2 years old ... BUILD (with blocks) ... 3 years old ... GO TO SCHOOL (we love having you at school, too!) ... 4 years old ... DRIVE A GATOR ! Everyone is always excited about the last part of the celebration, during which the birthday committee presents the present to the birthday child. Since only the birthday committee knows the final portrait it is a surprise for the everyone! "What is the picture gonna be?" - Daniel Happy Friday! Please enjoy the following slideshows featuring different areas of exploration over the course of the first month of school. and REMEMBER - School is CLOSED on Monday.
