"Every season is different" LucyThis was our last KW Friday and our last field trip. During the week, children have made gifts for the ducks from clay and other natural materials. Today we hauled the gifts down to the canal to present them to the ducks. The canal looked so different! The plants in and along the canal had grown much taller. We walked to where we usually found ducks and ducklings, but saw only one solo duck. Still, we left our gifts along the banks of the canal, convinced that our ducks could find them. As we headed back, a woman along the canal told us that ducks could be found on the other side of the bridge. She was right! We saw our young ducks, some new baby ducklings, and even a baby goose! We were thrilled to see them, and to make wishes for them one last time. As Hadley said, "This has to go in the blog!" Enjoy these images and have a great long weekend!
