A different way to play "Hide and Seek"

This week, we played a version of "Hide and Seek" that helped us work on self control. Each round, one child or adult hid an object around the room. The children covered their eyes and counted to 30. After the 30 seconds, they had to look for the object. If they find it, instead of touching it or saying anything, they have to return to the leader and whisper the object's location. 

It was tricky remembering to whisper the location of the object and not shout out but we did a great job with our self control.

Jordan: Why don't we shout out where the cone is?
Sylvie: Because people might feel bad that they didn't find it 
Lochie: Or they might feel sad 
Marley: It wouldn't be fair (if you were still lookin for the object)

After the game

Jordan: How did it feel to not call out where the cone was or touch it?
Lochie: It was tricky because we were excited (to find it)
