Colorful Shadows

After the long weekend, it was great to come back together on this lovely day!  We took advantage of the weather and walked to Volta Park.   We spent time making shadows that had some color.   Children also responded to the colors of leaves, and made compositions with natural materials.

As we walked, children admired the Halloween decorations.

Of course, being at the park presented children with more opportunities for movement.  There was spinning, climbing, flipping,  jumping, and swinging.  We are seeing children become more competent and confident as they try out new movement experiences.

Although we missed Jessica today, we were happy to have Brigitte Davis work with us.  Brigitte has been a teacher and parent at our school, and we are thrilled to have her as a substitute again!
