Wednesday, January 7th

​The KW sewing circle was going strong today,  Children worked on a variety of experiences.  Some added buttons and colorful threads to create interesting designs.  Children started making pillows, and some children went a step further to form heart-shaped pillows.  Throughout it all, we saw children talking about their work and admiring the work of others.

We also continued to think about environments for the ducks that the children have made.  Carl, Cassius, Lila, Willa, Hadley, and Rose worked on weavings of canal-like colors and various textures.  Hadley decided that blue transparencies were the best choice to make clean, sparkling water for her duck. Carl  and Cassius used paper, and Lila, Rose, and Willa used a little bit of everything!  Children also added to the clay canal that was started yesterday.  Rain prevented us from going outside, but we stayed busy with games, the magnetic chalk board, and playing on the cool bridge structure that the Tucker Room has built.
