"We can stick pretend people to the window." - George, 4.1 years “It’s an arrangement of people.” - Will, 4.0 years "For the book fair windows!" - George, 4.1 years The Atelier was set up for the children to imagine and create their "pretend people" for the Blake Hall windows. As you may know, each class has been invited to create something for our Light and Shadow Book Fair. We will be using the windows in Blake Hall. The Rainey Room is creating "pretend people" based on our small group work (see other blogs for additional information). There were many materials on the white table, in addition to the shelves of the atelier. Will saw the materials and asked, "What could it be[come]?" After a brief conversation about our initial small groups and sharing their words with them, the children got to work. We cannot wait for you to see them all in the window at Book Fair! We are also working on another project for Book Fair that the children thought of this week - stay tuned for more information.
