Cubby Bag Decorating!

While our clay is drying and we wait for the glazing and firing process, we spent the day embellishing our cubby bags! Using acrylic paint, stencils, and sponge "stamps," the children set to work making their cubby bags a beautiful expression of their creativity.
Some children, like Violet and Aida, used the stencils to write their initials or even their whole name. Others, like CC and Jack, just enjoyed painting letters for the fun of it!
We love the finished work!

Classroom  Work...

Outside of the studio, we had a blast playing "Hisss," a cooperative matching game. In this game, children work together to match colors, making each snake longer and longer, before getting a head and a tail. Giggles were had by all as we discovered that two-tailed snakes just don't work! The children enjoyed supporting their friends as they searched for the right color, and then they enjoyed calling out "start a new snake!" when a match couldn't be found. In the end, we completed six snakes!

SING-A-LONG

We also loved today's Sing-A-Long! Thank you for joining us on Zoom as we sang and wiggled-waggled our way through "My Dog, Rags." We also learned a new song, "The Unicorn." When suggesting that we should sing it, Nora shared, "my dad sings it to me every night!" (We're sorry we don't have a photo to share; we were just too busy singing!)

How is it possible that there's only one week left of camp?! Your children are a joy to be with each day, and we can't wait for one final, spectacular week! Until Monday, enjoy some highlights of our favorite moments from this week.

See you Monday!
