Wow! Can you believe it's almost October already!?
The first month of school has been incredibly exciting. We are sure that you have observed for yourselves that the children are settling in, gaining a stronger awareness of our school routines, and developing new friendships.

Towards the end of each month, we try to utilize an end of the month blog post to showcase an area of exploration that perhaps has not been highlighted as strongly as others in the previous weeks.

Today, we'd like to share moments from the outdoor classroom with you!

Spending Time Outdoors

SEPTEMBER

When asked about her favorite thing to do outside,
Elizabeth said,
"Swinging on the rope!"

Dahlia shared,
"I like to go on that! When you spin it."

Graham shared that he enjoys using the slide!

I can slide.
Down the green slide!

I like trucks and driving them.
I climb over there on the rope.
It's called, climbing spiders!
It's called the itsy spider come wash the water out and the rain come out.

Drawing has also become a preferred choice while spending time outside together.

The sandbox is such a fun gathering place.
It provides an awesome space for both small groups and larger groups of children to collaborate, working alongside, and share ideas with one another.

Many friends including Benji, Lily, William, Harry, Betsy, and Isa described the sandbox as their favorite space to spend time in when enjoying the outdoor classroom!
