We had visiting educators share our space with us today!
Throughout the school year, there are multiple opportunities for visiting educators to come spend the day with us at St. John's. On these special days, our time in the afternoon will be spent engaged in presentations and discussions with the visitors who have come to learn more about our school. Therefore, we will not be posting a "typical" blog on ECES days.
We thought that instead we could provide a quick glimpse of our day through a photo and a video clip.
This morning in the classroom, we introduced clay for the very first time! We are looking forward to continuing to offer clay exploration opportunities in our studio throughout the remainder of the week.
Although it was a bit rainy outside, that did not stop us from enjoying ourselves in the wet weather. At St. John's, our goal is to embrace all types of weather and to take full advantage of our time outdoors whenever possible (and safe). To help support our outdoor work and exploration time, please have your child bring weather appropriate clothing to school. It is also helpful to send a change of shoes in your child's cubby bag on rain/snow boot days. We are more than happy to help the children get dressed for the weather before our outside time, so sending items in their cubby bags is not at all an inconvenience. Thank you!
